#WeeksOfEscape

To celebrate the vibrant 2015 Monsoons, we posted some of our favorite wedding destination ideas across over the course of 9 weeks. Consider it your Monsoon Escape to Paradise or let it inspire you with an upcoming wedding. Either way, we are sure you will welcome the break from the clouds.

#Week8Escape  - Anantara – Dhigu, Maldives

A campaign on 12 best destinations in the world can’t be complete without Maldives being conspicuous in its absence. Seal your love amidst the splendor of the Maldivian sunset. Exchange vows overlooking the breathtaking Indian Ocean and feel the traditional beat of island drums as you make an everlasting promise to each other. If Maldives isn’t on your honeymoon list of places, it surely should be for your wedding! Anatara – Dhigu at Maldives is our #week8 escape!

Celebrate your private wedding reception under a secluded ‘faree’ tent on a deserted stretch of sand as you gaze at the bright stars, fresh Maldivian seafood grilling on the beach. Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa, comprising of some of the most spacious luxury villas in Maldives, some with private plunge pools and just a 35-minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport.

Our favorite part is the locations for the vows. You can take to the waters on a Maldivian dhoni for an Anantara island wedding you’ll cherish forever. This vessel, with its ivory sails and traditionally handcrafted body, provides a beautiful platform on which to exchange vows while cruising peacefully across an emerald lagoon. They also offer a private yacht instead for the ceremony.

If neither of these work, we have the beach/ocean facing wedding and 8 bar/restaurants to choose from, to make it indoor.
